Hello doctor
My daughter is 4.5 years old and she had a severe infection( e.coli) in the month of jan 2011-she was given zenflox.Nw she is got a bad breath and stomach pain, unwillingness to eat food..and a slimy motion(jus started) ,immediately i have given her zenflox syrup(TWICE A DAY).
PLS ADVICE.HER WEIGHT IS 13 KGS.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Since your daughter is just 4.5 years old and weighs 13 kg all the medications should be given as prescribed by the pediatrician after clinical evaluation and examination. It is also advisable to go for the tests of stool and blood along with ultrasonography of the whole abdomen. This will further help to know the proper diagnosis and helps in managing such problems. Do not treat kids at home as delayed diagnosis can cause complications in future which can be troublesome for the baby and costly too.
