Is Vitamin E Capsule Advisable In Case Of Sun Burns?

Hello Doctor ,

Post my visit to a very high altitude location , i have suffered from severe sun burn on my face.I have oily and fair complexion and this has happened with me for the first time.Firstly , entire skin turned red , then yellow liquid started oozing out for a day , now skin has turned dark black and it has started peeling off and is getting replaced by new red skin.Is it advisable to apply vitamin E capsule on the new red skin / burned skin.Kindly help with your expertise.
Thanks ,

HI..thanks for sharing your problem here i this forum..
you got the sunburn which is healed almost..now you should use sunblock with longer spf..topical application is advised by some experts but its better to use it in the form of tablets(oral form)..basically vit E is an anti oxidant.it will not protect you from ultra violet radiation...so better to use sunblock on the skin and take the VIT E as tablet form..thanks
