Is Tuberculosis A Communicable Disease?

hello, I have been diagnosed by tuberculosis and the Dr. has prescribed R cinex 600 ( 1 everyday before breakfast), benadon (1/2 every day), pyzina 750(2 after lunch) and combutol 1000 after dinner. Hope alright. I have been diagnosed to have tuberculosis in the cold abscess formation with swelling in the neck near to the collar bone. Is it communicable?

Hi & Welcome to HCM.

A cold abscess is a specific type of abscess caused by collection of pus due to tuberculosis. It is not contagious by itself. Because the causative bacteria for TB spreads through coughing, sneezing, etc.
However, if it continues to grow without drainage, the bones and organs may suffer permanent damage from compression or spreading infection.
