Is Tingling Through The Body Normal While Having Repeated UTI?
Hi I have what I suspect is a bad UTI and this is the second time now in about 5 months. I ve been taking cystitis sachets and lots of water but it has flared up again today with some small amount of blood in my urine. My main concern is the feeling I get when I go to the toilet, it s very hot and uncomfortable and I have a tingling in my fingers that spreads through my body and makes my eyes water. My mother said I had kidney problems as a child so I m just wondering if you had heard about this tingling as I know this isn t a common part of a normal UTI. Thanks
The sense of tingling in fingers can be attributed to either dietary deficiency of certain nutrients (like Calcium, Vitamin D, Vitamin B 12, Folic acid) or peripheral neuropathy (due to uncontrolled blood pressure or blood sugar levels). This along with recurrent attacks of Urinary Tract Infections is suggestive of Diabetes mellitus. An estimation of blood sugar level will be helpful in clinching the diagnosis.
So, kindly consult your General Physician & discuss regarding this. Based on the clinical evaluation and investigation reports, further management steps will be taken.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
