Is There Any Relation Between Back Pain And Niacin Nf 1000?
thank you doctor I was having back pain. i have been doing some muscle strengthening exercises and was completely relieves of it. For the last couple of months i have been taking niacin NF 1000 for cholesterol. a few days back my back pain reappeared. does it have any relation to niacin?
There is no documented evidence of such relation. Niacin-NF 1000 is commonly prescribed for the treatment of high blood triglycerides and as a supplement to treat vitamin B3 deficiency.
Its common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, dry mouth, itching, redness of the skin, and rash. It is unlikely to cause back pain.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
