Is There Any Other Options Beside An Operation For Hole In The Heart ?
Hi I have a friend who has a whole in his heart . The doctors said that if an operation is carried out, there s a 50-50 chance of him surviving. I was wondering if this was true and also what would most likely happen if he didnt go through an operation. Also, is there any other options beside an operation?

Hole in the heart is normally present at birth which closes as the child grows.In some cases it does not close spontaneously and presents as septal defects. Most of these defects can be surgically corrected with goog results if it is done at good centers. Even govt. gives monitory help for such surgicaal procedures. He should go for the surgery in my opinion after proper evaluation at good center.
