Is There Any Danger From Taking All 6 Pills Of Prescribed Medrol Dose Pack At A Time For Skin Rash?
I am a healthy 60 yo male with a skin rash. My dr prescribed Medrol dose pack. I have taken it before, and I thought I was supposed to take the 6 pills all at once the first day. I did that just now, and then realized it was supposed to be taken throughout the day 2 pill, then 1, then 1 and then 2 at bedtime the first day. Anything I should be concerned about taking all 6 at once?
It is possible that you may experience irritation or inflammation of the stomach with the use of all of the medication at the same time.
There are possible side effect associated with the medication that may be exacerbated by using a higher dose such as acne, delayed healing, elevated blood sugars, difficulty sleeping, elevated liver enzymes.
These effects may or may not occur. If you notice any worrying symptoms, you should consider visiting your doctor for assessment.
I hope this helps
