Is Taxim-o Suggested For Loose Motions?

Hi my son is 11 months old. He is having runny stools with blood in it.he is also having fever and runny nose. Doctor prescribed TAXIM-O for him. But as I am reading about taxim-o, it says the side effects ofaxim-o are loose motions, then why did he gave this medicine for loose motion
