Is Taking Diazepam Safe For Anxiety?
Hey I'm currently taking diazepam for anxiety but I want to swap it, or (preferably) take in conjunction with, something shorter acting that's stronger than valium. If I get a bad panic attack, 10mg valium isn't enough to get me through it, and if I exceed that, the effects of the drug lasts for days (which isn't what I'm looking for - I have valium for anxiety, but I still get panic attacks. What are the chances of getting a prescription for another benzo without the doctor being suspicious of drug seeking? I really think this could help my life but I don't know what to say without sounding like a drug addict

Benzodiazapine valium or anything else are not the suitable treatment for anxiety or panic attacks. By taking this you are moving towards increasing your illness and damaging your liver possibly.
You have to take one med or other so why dont you go for a proper anti anxiety drug itself. With that there wil not be a danger of addiction and may be after some time there is no necessity of drugs at all...
So, please try either venalafaxine or paroxetine and for acute attacks you can take clonazepam for some days. Later the acute attacks of panic will stop completely.
