Is Sudden Rapid Heart Beat, Tiredness A Matter Of Concern?

on a beta blocker for blood pressure. Blood work came back good 4 months ago but I seem to be retaining water and gaining weight. Last night I had a sudden rapid hard heart beat that lasted over an hour. It caused me to have to urinate large amounts 2 times close together which resulted in me loosing 4 lbs. I also feel very tired now
is this cause for alarm

Hello. Thank you for asking on HCM.

The episode that you are describing is due to palpitations lasting for over 60 minutes. I would recommend you to be put on a 24-hour Holter rhythm monitor or a episode rhythm monitor, so we can define what diagnose we have to deal with. Once diagnosed (if arrhythmia), the treatment should be started immediately.

I hope I was helpful. Take care
