Is Severe Abdominal Pain Due To Lisinopril?

I was wondering if you every heard of someone starting Lisinopril 10 mg and had severe stomach pains? I stoped Amlodpine and started Lisinopril yesterday morning, and after my lunch, which was a cobb salad, I have severe stomach pain since yesterday.

Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible.

It has less tendency to cause such side effect however any new medicine can lead to abdominal pain or cramps or gastric upset. But since you had crab and some sea food as well so if you can wait for another day or two to see whether it settles down or not. if persists or any signs of skin rash or swelling or difficulty breathing is noted then stop it and consult the prescribing doctor. Regards.
