Is Purplish Blue Discoloration On The Upper Arm Associated With CKD And Rhabdomyolysis?

I woke up with extensive bruising from my elbows to my shoulders. It is extremely sore and dark purple and blue. I have not fallen or had any other accidents. I do have a history of CKD and Rhabomyolysis. Could this be related and what can I do ?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, this sudden onset non traumatic skin bleeding can be due to thrombocytopenia (low platelets).
Both these, CKD (chronic kidney disease) and rhabdomyolysis can cause thrombocytopenia.
So better to consult your doctor and get done CBC (complete blood count), renal function test.
You may need platelet infusion if thrombocytopenia is severe.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
