Hi,

As a physician I would like to tell you that you have said you had sex with your husband on 26.12.2016 which is pretty much in later part of your menstrual cycle. Thus it reduces chances of getting pregnant drastically for that period. Also, I would like to tell you that in between your cycle, you said you had sex 2-3 times.

I would like to tell you that even using protection there are some very, still there are little chances of contraception failure if you had sex around your Ovulation date. Thus, i would suggest that you should take a home UPT test to determine the status of if you are pregnant or not. I would also advise to you that you should visit a MD Obgy doc if the UPT is negative and still your periods are missing.

Hope this will help you. Feel free to ask any further question. Have a nice day.

Regards,
Dr. Abhijeet

Hi,

If you are sure about protected sex then there is no chance of pregnancy. You had unprotected sex on 26th December without any precaution, but it does not cause pregnancy as it is completely safe period of cycle. Your delayed period could be due to hormonal imbalance, ovarian dysfunction, endometriosis, thryoid dysfunction, excessive stress, change in life style and dietary habit. I would suggest to consult gynecologist and undergo clinical examination, reproductive hormone analysis, USG scan to confirm cause. Progesterone pill can be use to induce period. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
