Is Poor Appetite, Dizziness And Sleeplessness Due To Heart Problem?

hi i am a 27yo male who was born with a hole in my heart and uneven valves. Doctors informed me that i need surgery. but i had some time before scheduling it. for a month i have been experiencing poor appetite, dizziness and sleeplessness. i sleep for 1-2 hours and wake up and can not eat more than 2 bites of food. can u tell me if this is related to my diagnosis?

Dear Sir,

Most probably your symptoms are associated with anxiety. If they have started after your diagnosis was made, then it is surely anxiety. If symptoms have started earlier, then I would advise you to check you heart rate and blood pressure regularly.
Anyway most probably they are not associated with your valve problems and septal defect, as the main symptom in this case would breathlessness.

Hope I could help you

Wishing you good health
