Is Playing Racquetball Or Tennis Post Total Knee Replacement, advisable?

Sure. I am two years post opp from bi-lateral total knee replacement. I feel great and am completely healed from the surgery. I want to lose some weight and would like to start some aerobic activities. My surgeon said I shouldn't run-it puts too much repetitive shock stress on the knees. Can I play racquetball or tennis? I know swimming is good, but I want a team or couples activity.
Thanks,

George

Hi
You can play but you should avoid because it decreases the life of implant and after tkr should not do jerk mivements of knee.
Cycling and swimming will be good for you to loose weight.
Get well soon.
Thank you.
