Is Normaxin An Anti Biotic?

Am recovering from a viral infection where I had high fever and body pain for 4 days. Feeling very low now-- almost depressed. Can t seem to keep my eyes open and I must have slept 16 hours in the last 24.-- have been doing this since the fever broke. Also getting near panic attacks. Doc has prescribed normaxin--one table three times daily. Is this an anti biotic?

No my dear normaxine is not antibiotic it contains chlordiazepoxide, clidinium bromide , dicyclomine. It is anti anxiety, anti spasmodic tablet.
Chlordiazepoxide is the sedative hypnotic & may be the reason for your drowsiness.
This tablet might have given you aiming your depressed mood, panic attacks & abdominal discomfort.
So do not consider it as an antibiotic.
That tablet should be use under proper physician guidance Should not be taken at your own. Get proper advice regarding its use.
Having that much sleep is side effect of this tablet & it will go away once you stop medication or once you get used to it. SO nothing to worry about it.
