Is Lung X-ray For A Pre-employment Screening Normal?

I went to get a chest x ray today, and they referred me to somebody else tomorrow, because I had a x ray done 1 year ago. The x ray is to check my lungs for a pre employment physical. Just wondered if that was normal? They also said that it was a x ray that they did not have the right machine for, or something like that.

a one year old x ray should not be seen for this purpose at the present time.
things would have changed in one years time.
