Is It Safe To Use Earex During Pregnancy?

Hello I am 20 weeks pregnant. I recently cleaned out my right ear with a ear bud and after that my ear hurts. I cant chew quite well on that side. Both ears were examined and dr saw slight inflammation on right ear. He recommended earex. Is that safe? I I read online that camphor is not safe during pregnancy. What else can I use? I sometimes use Vicks Vaporub for backaches. Is it safe to use?
