Dr. Hanif warmly welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I want to assure, I will take care all of your medical concerns.

Myoma is a benign tumor made up of muscular elements and I don't think there is some benefit of taking metronidazole for this disease.

Metronidazole is for infections not myomas. I suggest you to please go to consult a Gynecologist for proper evaluation and treatment.

Mostly Uterine fibroids need no treatment as they don't cause symptoms of any type. If it bother you, we have non-surgical and surgical options to treat it.

Non surgical treatments I usually recommend for uterine fibroids, depending on patient case differently, are:-
*Oral contraceptive pills
*Lupron; shrinks fibroids
*Intrauterine devices cause shrinkage
*Motrin can be great for pain
*Iron is good for females with heavy periods due to these fibroids

If medicines fail for curing, I usually refer the patients for surgical Myomectomy, or Hysterectomy.

Hope I answered all of your questions. In future, if you need further, detailed and quick assistance on any health issue, feel free to ask me a question by writing my name as a reference in the start of your question. I will get back to you right away. Have a wonderful time ahead.

Regards!
