Is It Safe To Take Duphaston And Susten Vt During Pregnancy And With White Discharge?

Hi, I am 7+ weeks pregnant. My doctor has advised me to take Duphaston 10mg 4 tablets in a day and susten vt 200mg twice a day via viagina.. I had slight bleeding at 5 week. Doctor has advised me to take them till 12 or 13 week of preganancy. is it safe to take these pills during preganancy? I am also having viaginal itching and white discharge because of susten vt.

Hi,

Yes, these medicines are considered to be safe during pregnancy. Based on the history you seem to have features suggestive of suspected miscarriage for which your doctor has advised the medicines. Duphaston and Susten-VT are synthetic forms of female hormones progesterone which are useful in supporting and maintaining an early pregnancy and also to prevent miscarriage and preterm delivery. Ask your doctor for the treatment of vaginal itching or white discharge which could be due to fungal infection.
