Is It Safe To Smoke Pot While Suffering From A Concussion?

I suffered a concussion playing hockey a couple days ago. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with a mild concussion. I've had headaches on and off the past couple days. I was wondering if it is safe to smoke pot? I know it's not good to smoke anything but are there any extreme dangers to worry about?

Hi. If you were diagnosed with a concussion, this suggests you sustained a significant head injury. Concussion means that due to the head injury, many brain cells will have been killed off as a direct result. Although you may feel ok, you should still consider the risks of causing any further damage. Smoking any substance that can potentially cause further neurological damage in this instance should be avoided. Pot is a substance that will cause further adverse effects in someone who has experienced a significant head injury. You should avoid any drugs at all times since you sustained this injury. I hope this helps.
