Hi, CMV IgG positive only means that you were once infected by CMV in your life time. Positive IgM indicates that either you are newly infected, you have been infected in the past but recently re-exposed to CMV or undergoing reactivation of CMV infection acquired in the past. So if only IgG is positve, it means that there is no active infection and you can have sex with your wife
