Is It Safe To Fly After Undergoing Banding For Esophageal Varices?

I have had osophical warieces that were banded twice last year last time around 7to 8 months ago also a heart attack about 19 years ago Iam 48 is it safe for me to take a long haul flight of around 12 hours then 8 hours (2 hour stop over) to Australia ?.I only on very rare occations get angina maybe once every Two years.
