I ve been looking all over the internet for an answer and all I ve found was a birth defect. I had a rough week, I think I had high fevers & vomiting for a few days, and now I m congested (nose & the top of my throat area). Right now my left nose is stuffed up and I picked up an apple to eat and realized it tasted different, so I threw it out thinking it was bad. And then I realized I had no sense of smell even though adequate air is passing through my left nostril. I even tested perfume and couldn t smell it. So I pinched the left nostril shut and tried to see if I could smell the perfume with my right nostril and I could a little bit (but, couldn t really breathe through it so I figured it was due to that I could no only smell a little of it). Is it possible to only be able to smell through one nostril and not the other?
