Is It Possible To Have A Corrected Squint But Wear Glasses Too?

I have had squint corrective surgery at the age of 16. My surgeon told me that because I had the operation at a late age and have been wearing glasses nearly all my life I couldn t have my eye corrected so it was fully straight because my vision wasnt the best and I still needed glasses. He didn t correct it fully, infact its still bad but when I put either my glasses or contact lenses in it straightens my eye. However it still bothers me that in order to look normal I have to wear contact lenses everyday. I would never go out without them in. Lately its been getting me down again, I am still concious of it, I wont sleep out or anything because of this reason. I am wondering why I cant have my squint corrected fully and still wear contact lenses or glasses for my vision? I have researched this loads of times and NOBODY seems to have the same problem as me. Is it possible to have a corrected squint but wear glasses too without it affected the position of my eye?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
It seems from the history that you have underwent squint surgery. SInce you have undergone surgery after the age of 6 years improvement in vision was not possible and you need to wear glasses of contact lenses for improvement in vision.
Since it appears you have got squint again, this can be corrected by second surgery after evaluation for cosmetic purposes.
Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
