Hello,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. The incidence of congenital defects after the use of Misoprostol in pregnancy is approximately 1%. This drug is considered a teratogen when used in early pregnancy. You should get fetal anomalies scan and also a TIFFA scan to rule out anomalies. The usual ones observed are skull defects, cranial nerve palsies, facial malformations etc., possibly due to defective vascular supply caused by the uterine contraction induced by the drug. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you safe motherhood.
