Is It Okay To Get A Tetanus Shot In The Hip?

Sir my 5 year son was biten by the street dog at 11pm on 6.6.14. I immediately brought him to a pvt hospital where the doctor gave him a titnus injection and a vaccine of rabipur on his buttock area .later on I read the rabipur instruction where it was written that vaccine must not be given Iin buttock area . Kindly give me advise

At buttocks have higher fat content so absorption is poor and thigh is better area to put anti rabies vaccine. But even at hip the remains effective and there is no need to worry or vaccinate again. At five years the difference is not much between the two sites.
