Is It Normal To Have One Side Of Chest Area More Raised Than The Other?

My 5 year old son will sometimes say that his chest hurts...he said this again the other day. I usually just brush it off as heartburn but when I asked the other day to show me where, he pointed to his right boob area. then I noticed that the right is a lil more raised than the left one...is this normal?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are different possible causes of chest pain. Pain can originate from any structure in the chest from the skin inwards.

At his age, chest pain is not likely related to the heart.

The most common causes at his age would be related to the muscles and associated tissues.
Since he is persistently complaining of pain, it would be best for him to see his doctor to determine the cause.

I hope this helps
