Is It Harmful To Take Suppositories Clingen Orally ?
hi doctor , my sister age is 30years , hght - 5 fit has taken suppositries clingen orally for last six day -once daily she is seven month pregnent, now she came to know that it should be used invagina. kindly advice is it harmful to use orally during pregnency

see you had to follow your doctor if she instructed to use it per vaginal it is your blunder mistake you did like that ,,,here i am making you clear that it has many side effects :
Vaginal Suppositories are well tolerated locally i.e. intravaginally.
In isolated cases, vaginal irritation, itching, burning, dysparaunia and in rare cases slight urinary frequency and burning or irritation in the sexual partner have been observed. Very rarely the patient may find this irritation intolerable and in such cases the treatment has to be stopped.
Hypersensitivity reactions may occur.please try to consult your gynaec immediately

The complications that Dr. Payal mentioned are in case of intravaginal insertion of the suppository.
Accidental oral consumption of vaginal suppository in all likely hood will not affect the baby inside her womb.
The problem is that the purpose for which those medicines were prescribed will not be treated properly, because local action is much faster and more effective than oral intake. Hence your sister should again consult the gynecologist and inform her about the mistake and if indicated she may again prescribe that medication. Now be careful to follow the instruction correctly.
