Is It Due To Removal Of Uterus There Is Pain On Left Abdominal Region?

I have been having pain in the left abdomen near left side rib cage. I have been having periodic pain in the same location for the past year. I have had MRIs' CAT scans, endoscopy and colonoscopy. The only thing they could find is polyps in the stomach and irritation in the stomach. I have been on Dexilent for a few weeks and thought it was getting better. Then I had the worst bout yet. extreme abdomen pain with 101 fever. I went to the E.R.

and they gave me Cipro and pain relievers and sent me home. I have been having pain now on the left side especially the left side of my head and down the side of my throatand my left eye is really red. No one seems to have answers. I have been to many specialists in Baylor In Houston and all have given up on an answer. I am extremely nausated and having a hard time eating and the pain seems to be radiating down towards the lower left side. 6 months before I had this problem I had my uterus removed due to several fibroids growing larger and painful. Do you have any suggestions of any test that could be ran or what this might be? Thanks so much!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
* The intense pain of this type must have an underlying cause as per my surgical experience it can be pedicle related issue after hysterectomy surgery, internal inflammation of some organ or others.
* I would really like to assist further with all reports as scanned copy in follow up conversation for best guidelines.

Regards.
