Hello ma'am and welcome.

At times, a heavy period can result following the act of sexual intercourse due to the whole process of intercourse itself. The penis can cause friction and irritation to the inner mucosa of the uterus.

If at all the bleeding did not stop, and continued for a longer period of time then it would be safer to visit a doctor. But otherwise, I do not see any cause for concern.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
