Is Genetic Engineering For Humans Ethical?

I'm doing a project on human genetic engineering and wanted a doctors take on it. Do you support genetic engineering for humans? Is it ethical? Are we playing God? What are the long term environmental effects? Will genetics change the definition of humanity?

I support very much, because one day we will understand that expression of our diseases depends from our genotype. You do good things. If you will repair our genetic code you will save so much people and God will only thankful to you. We should find broken gen and replace him or resuscitate which we need. Humanity is love to people, you do this for people and do what you can, you will help people and this is the best target in our life
