Is Gallstones Causing Fever, Nausea, Body Tremor With Pain Normal?
I have been diagnosed with gallstones last Thursday. It is saturated with stones. An ultrasound confirmed this. My pain has always has been on my left side under the rib cage. Not sure when I will have it out, but probably soon. Today I have a low grade fever, nausea, and my body shakes or trembles(that has been going on for a few days). Is this normal symptoms of gallstones? Or is this a concerned issue? Thanks for your help.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The mentioned symptoms can be because of gall stone induced infective etiology like acute cholecystitis. USG abdomen scan should be done for that. Antibiotic course can be prescribed for seven days. Anti inflammatory drug also can be prescribed If needed. Avoid excess fatty foods. If no improvement and repeated pain induced by gall stone than gall bladder need to be removed. Consult physician for examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
