I had a tubal ligation and leep procedure 9 days ago. I am still having the black charcoal-like discharge which smells foul. I know i was instructed not to douche (and I normally don t...) but the smelly discharge was driving me bonkers so I used a vinegar/water douche solution 1:3. Immediately after douching (I did not insert the nozzle more than a centimeter into my vaginal opening) I developed moderate cramping. The charcoal-like chemical discharge seems to be eliminated. My questions are; 1. Is it normal to have cramping after douching? 2. Is the foul smelling discharge normal? 3. Could my douching with the solution mentioned above cause damage? 4. How long will the smelly discharge last?
