Is Flu Related With Headache, Dry Congestion With Pain During Swallowing?

I have had a fever and aches, headache and dry congestion for 4 days now. I woke up this morning with a 102.8 temp. My cough has losened up a bit and the mucus is a dark grey. MY problem is the extreme pain I have when I swallow. The pain runs down my esophogus and it feels like its squeezing my lungs and I get shortness of breath until I can compose myself. Should I see a doctor or is this a normal symptom of the flu?
