Is Extreme Itching Of The Limbs, Numbness/deteriorating Use Of Hands, Dizziness Growing Worse A Normal Progression Of LFPN?

About 5 years ago my extreme dizziness / falling down for no good reason was blamed on Large Fiber Peripheral Neuropathy. Communication between my brain / extremities was lacking, so I would fall. Not Diabetic. Anemic / Vitamin B s deficient. Persistent hypertension / non-responsive to treatment. Advised LFPN was progressive. Now frequently deal with extreme itching / burning of hands & feet, numbness / deteriorating use of hands, as well as dizziness growing worse. I m guessing this is a normal progression.

Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query

This may be normal progression. However, Vit B induced neuropathy may be reversible at a later date.

I would suggest looking for other possible causes also , like TSH, ANA, FBS,PPBS. this is basically to make sure that we are not missing on any other possibly treatable cause of neuropathy.

I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above so i can be of help further. Best of luck.
