Is excessive vaginal discharge normal after child birth?

Hello I don’t know if you can answer my question but here is my story. Ever since I had my baby which he is one year old I been having vaginal discharge. It’s not smell or itchy. It’s just uncomfortable having it since I’m always wet down there. The discharge is white a gooey and sticky. Is this normal to happen after giving birth ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response

Vaginal discharge is common after a childbirth.

It will persist for a couple of days.

Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself.

No definite treatment is required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

I took Birth control, injectable that last for just 3months, once in a year, November 2015 and December 2016. In 2015, I had my normal menstral cycle but the one I took in 2016 caused me like 2months delay. However, since September, 2017 I have not seen my menses and I do not meet my husband all this while, until January,2018.Few days after the intercourse my nipples were paining me and I had thick whitish discharge for like a week and I experience small watery discharge after that till now. I am 43 years, I will be 44years this year. From September, 2017 till now February, 2018 no menses. What can be the cause please? Thanks

Hi, I am 35 weeks pregnant with my first child and I ve been having to run to the restroom more often because I get these diarrhea cramps and when I try and use the restroom, I have to wait till the cramp goes away in order to have a bowel movement. Also my stomach feels like it gets very tight and I ve been having more vaginal discharge than usual. Is this normal? Or could this just be a possible sign that my baby may come soon?
