What Causes Excessive Vaginal Discharge?

Hi doctor. My question is I had sex during my ovulation time without any protection. My periods are regular. 13 days later after ovulation had brownish discharge for 2 days and also dizziness. Later I had a normal flow of period for 5 days and no dizziness were I ruled out chances of being pregnant. But after two days I am having a watery discharge making my panty wet all the time. Could I be pregnant? Is there any chances of being pregnant?

Hello,

Normal vaginal discharge is a healthy bodily function. It’s your body’s way of cleaning and protecting the vagina.

For instance, it’s normal for discharge to increase with sexual arousal and ovulation. Exercise, use of birth control pills, and emotional stress may also result in discharge.

Other causes include Bacterial vaginosis, Trichomoniasis, Yeast infection, Gonorrhea and chlamydia infection, Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection.

Brown colored discharge is common in early pregnancy especially during implantation. If you have any concerns regarding whether a discharge is normal, make an appointment to see your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
