Is Ectopic Pregnancy Possible After Taking Plan-B?

On April 22nd my boyfriend cummed on the outside of my vagina. 4 hours later I took the plan b pill with no problems. A week later I had light bleeding and a lot of brown discharge. Ive taken 4 pregnancy tests all megative, no pregnancy signs and its now July 7th. Ive not had my period yet but Ive been mildly cramping for about a week now and today they got more severe like they normally do when Im about to start. Ive been irregular with my periods since age 12 and Im now 20. I havent had my period since May and Im worried about the ecoloptic preganacy Ive been reading about.

Hello,

Ectopic pregnancy can happen after taking Plan-B. Plan B works by preventing ovulation. It is quite an effective treatment to prevent pregnancy but there are some cases that still conceive even though they use Plan-B.
So, a woman may conceive and also ectopic pregnancy may happen. I would advise you to repeat the pregnancy test. If it is positive it is best to see your doctor if you haveing bleeding and cramps. The doctor will do a gynecological exam and probably a transvaginal ultrasound and BHCG levels in the blood.
If the urinary pregnancy test is negative you need not worry.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
