Is Consuming Proton-ix Responsible For Pale Stools?

I have been taking 40mg Protonix daily for the past 5 days due to a recent GERD-like attack. It works well but could it be causing my pale stools, which started yesterday? I have 9 more days to go. Simultaneously, I just finished 5 days of 250mg daily of azithromycin (with no side effects) for bronchitis due to a recent airline flight. Could this be a factor as well? ~ Thank you.

I have read and understood your concern
Clay-colored stools or pale stools have been described among the side effects of protonix.If no other symptoms are present, i will say it is as a result of the drug you are taking.The problem will go away when you complete your treatment.However, if other symptoms appear like fever, yellow eyes, right flanc pains, dark coloured urine...you see your Doctor for evaluation.
