Hi, I m 37 yrs old female with 3 kids youngest is 19 months (had c section).I used iud which worsened my menorrhagia few yrs back .Recently had Mirena 5 months back but facing continous bleeding for which I started duphastone 10 mg bd but still have slight bleeding. ..I have family history of breast CA...My mother had it at 55 yr of her age her hormones were positive..she got chemotherapy and Radiotherapy after mastectomy. ... Now I want to know is it safe for me to keep Mirena or I should remove it? Is it normal to have bleeding even after 5 months of insertion? Is there any other non hormonal method which will not worsen my menorrhagia problem? Regards.
