Is Cholesterol Report Normal And Suggest Diet Plans?

Hi,Im Christine ,32 years old just had got the result from lab.5 feet,100 lbs..Taking steroids from Bronchiectasis..Have family history of diabetes and high bood pressure..Just got this result from the lab.
Total Cholesterol Result = H 262.60 mg/dl Wonder what it means ,and what diet is best? Thanks.

Thanks for your query.
262 mg% is definitely higher than normal. You must get a detailed lipid profile so that exact treatment can be planned. Your clinical profile including history of diabetes, high blood pressure, smoking, medication and cardiovascular disorders etc will be required.
diet should not contain more than 30% calories from fat and not more than 7% calories from saturated fats. Avoid fired items, butter, sweets, hydrogenated and trans fats. Take vegetables, legumes, fruits, nuts and diet rich in fibers.
