Is Bilirubin Level Of 1.5 A Cause For Concern?

Hello sir.. I am having bilrubin count 1.5 and all other count has come to normal.. after that i had smoked nearly 10 to 15 cigarettes and now after reading all articles i am worried that will that have a effect on my liver and will my health worsen.. will there be any relapse.. Pls help..

You are heavy smoker according to history... Duration of smoking has not been mentioned here..

Yes you should stop smoking, rehabilitation program will be helpful for that
Smoking affect lung as well as liver and multiple organs

For raised bilirubin further work up done with...
-PS with reticulocyte count
-Liver enzymes estimation
-USG abdomen etc...

According to cause specific treatment can be guided

If liver affection present than udiliv tablet prescribed

If PS suggestive hemolytic picture than cause searched for and treated accordingly

Consult physician with keeping this in mind
