My baby (6 months) is having cough which is bit more frequent in the morning hours just after he wakes up. He coughs and vomits bringing out watery mucus like liquid along with the breast milk. After this he settles down and the frequency of cough reduces. He does not have fever, running nose or any breathing difficulty. The doctor checked him and let us know that his lungs are clear and it might be some congestion in the airway. He has prescribed Ashtalin syrup 1ml (3 times) for 5 days. Is it safe to give Asthalin syrup for a 6 month old baby.
