Is Anti D Injection Making Me Numb To All Pregnancy Pains And Aches?
Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... I am 30 weeks pregnant with twins. I am 27 years old. I had ivf done to conceive. 2 days ago my doctor administered a steroid injection of 12mg and again after 24 hours as well as 1 anti d injection. Since the first injections i hardly feel baby movements and it seems as though ive become numb to all the aches and pains ive had in pregnancy. Is this safe? Could it be a side effect of injections? Thank you.
The experience you are describing is not a normal experience nor is it a known reaction of either of the injections. Diminished or no movements of the baby is a serious symptom you are describing. Please report to your Obstetrician, get ultrasonographic scan done to assess the safety of the baby. May be you will have to get the tracings of the foetal heart beats done (NST).
The aches and pains can go way due to steroid injection.
I hope you will not waste time and report to the Obstetrician ASAP.
