Is An Eeg Test Advisable For Adhd?

Hello Doctor, my 3 years son is under treatment for ADHD since last two months, though doctor didnt advice me to do EEG or MRI but my friends are saying you should have done EEG test to make sure that my son has a ADHD. if i do this test does it will be helpful ?

I can understand your concerns.
EEG for diagnosis of ADHD is still under research. At present ADHD is only diagnosed clinically. In my opinion EEG for diagnosis of ADHD is not required.
