Hi,

Encorate contains sodium valproate which belongs to the group of medications known as anti-epiletic medications is used to treat conditions like epilepsy and bipolar disorder. It works by preventing extreme mood swings and abnormal brain signals that trigger seizures or fits. It also helps in the prevention of migraine. This medication is safe and effective if it is taken according to your doctor's advice.

Valpol CR contains both sodium valproate and valproic acid which is used to treat epilepsy, a neurological disorder in which there are recurrent episodes of seizures. It controls any abnormal activity in the brain, it relaxes the nerves and hence prevents seizures. This medication may take several weeks to work but it is important to take it regularly to get the benefit. Don't stop taking this medication, even if you feel fine unless your doctor advises you to. It is a safe drug if it is taken as directed by your doctor. As the doctor has already chosen anti-epiletic medications for your daughter, so he is definitely sure about the diagnosis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
