Is Alcohol Consumption Safe After Tonsillectomy?

Hey I got my tonsillectomy on August 9th and am going back to college this weekend August 21st. I was wondering when I can drink alcohol (mainly beer) again? I am on day 10 as I send this and can eat most foods now and barely feel anything as far as soreness. Thanks, Trevor

Now you can consume alcohol. But long term use of alcohol causes decrease in size of testes, cirrhosis of liver, and many types of cancer. It is better to avoid alcohol. Alcohol is known to cause digestive tract bleeding especially when you consume it empty stomach or along with non-steroidal pain killer medicine or smoking.
Advice
1.     You can drink alcohol but in small amount such as beer
2.     Try to avoid whisky, vodka, rum and wine. These have very high content of alcohol
3.     If you have gastritis problem after taking alcohol then you can take omeprazole 20 mg empty stomach before drinking alcohol
4.     Avoid smoking simultaneously which is very common during drinking alcohol with friends
5.     Do not drink & drive
6.     Try to avoid non-steroidal pain killer after drinking
7.     Do not consume any sleep-inducing pill simultaneously
Thanks
