Is A Rash On The Jaw Indicative Of Hypothyroidism?

I have hypothyroidism and they keep lowering my medicine. I notice I get a rash on either side or both sides of my chin. My dermatologists gave me cream to put on it twice a day. The oral medication he could give me to get rid of it much faster, I m allergic to. Basically, I m just wondering if these rashes come about if my thyroid gland is too low, even if the doctor says it s to high?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Rashes on the jaws what you are having is not a manifestation of underlying thyroid disorder what you have.
This is a skin problem which could be caused due to allergic or infective manifestation and is unrelated to hypothyroidism or its treatment.
Kindly consult Dermatologist for proper evaluation and management of the rash what you are having.
Have patience as skin disorders takes quite a while to get resolved.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
