Hello dear
Understand your concern
Yes you can take meprate after consulting the gynecologist as you have no period since two months.
I advice you to for following investigations: Reproductive hormone analysis, USG scan and ovarian follicle study that will help in management of PCOS.
Main aim of treatment in PCOS are: regularize the period and indcution of ovulation. Doctor will provide following medicine:
Oral contraceptive pill or meprate in second half of the cycle: it regularize the period by clear the hormonal imbalance.
Continue metformin as it induce the ovulation and maintain the glucose homeostasis.
Spironolactone and flutamide can be given for induction of ovulation.
If above drugs will not help then Clomiphene citrate and FSH analogue can be given.
Do regular exercise and reduce weight if your daughter is obese.
Drink plenty of waters, take fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables in the diet. Avoid excessive sweets and yogurt in diet.
Hope this may help you
